I realize this may seem like an odd request. But, as a hobbyist and content creator - I would love the ability to turn gravity off. Or perhaps even have a way to set gravity as a variable.
Hi,
have you checked out the latest version? We added a “Gravity” slider to the stars a few months ago.
You can now adjust how quickly the main stars fall. Is that what you had in mind?
Best Regards,
Lukas
Hi Lukas,
I’m surprised I hadn’t noticed that. That does help a bit … But no - that’s not really what I meant. I meant literally turning gravity off. I realize that makes no sense for the vast majority of use cases. But some of my simulations involve fireworks in space. I’m a content creator on Twitch. My content is mostly related to Elite Dangerous (a future space flight simulation/game).
One way i’ve “simulated” a lack of gravity was to create things upside down - but obviously that causes other problems. So my hope was that there was some way to disable gravity.
Type 0% in the field box
Thanks for the clarification. Fireworks in space - that’s a really cool project!
I just checked in the source code. Unfortunately, there really is no way to change the Gravity as a preference - it’s built into the code. Sorry I cannot be of more help!
When will be making some motor mines using negative Gravity (e.g. -50%)?
Lukas will definitely implement a motorized stars feature and it will probably takes few months
