so the town where i live recently had 3d views of its building added to google earth but the thing is when i load it in fwsim its in 2d

great question!
We get the data from Google Earth, however they do not update all at the same time.
Sometimes they add new data to Google Earth, but do not provide this data to other applications like FWsim yet.
You’ll need to wait until Google updates the data that they share with other applications, and then the new buildings from your town will show up in FWsim.

I had reported a similar problem some time ago. Like 2 months after they added the 3d view It was available on FWsim. I started to create a show and before it was finished, it was like a week, the 3d view disappeared again from FWsim and after several months it isn’t still back.

That’s interesting, thanks for letting me know. It must mean that Google updated their data, and then went back to the old version the next week. Perhaps they discovered some problem in the newer data.
FWsim directly loads the data from Google, we do not store it (not even temporarily). So what you see in FWsim is directly what Google sends.
Unfortunately, this also means we have no influence on what data you see.
