@Lukas for some time now, when editing moving camera shots, I have been unable to copy previously used camera positions. This is a problem because reusing a position requires manually entering all the data, which takes a great deal of time—especially for longer shows with many shot changes.
Hi,
thanks for letting me know.
I just checked this: I can click camera keyframes on the timeline, copy them with CTRL+C and paste them with CTRL+V. So it seems to work fine on my computer.
Please let me know:
-
Which version of FWsim are you using?
-
Can you select camera keyframes in the timeline? (by simply clicking)

-
can you right-click, and select “Copy”?
-
Can you right-click on a different position and select “Paste”?
This will help me figure out at which point the process fails for you.
Lukas
I can do the first two steps as usual, but now the “paste at cursor” button doesn’t show up. I’m using version 4.4.0
Ok interesting, so you see the copy and you can copy the keyframes but you don’t see the paste button when you right-click into the time area. Let’s try this: what happens when you use Ctrl+V? You would position the playback cursor at the position where you want to insert the keyframe and then press Ctrl+V. No need to right-click
It doesn’t work. I discovered that also deleting a previous camera cue it’s impossible for me. The button to do so shows up but it doesn’t work.
Thanks for testing. I will send you a private message with some further troubleshooting steps.
