I find that instead of changing relative speed, you set the star burn duration to minimum 0.00 seconds and maximum anywhere between 0.10 - 0.50 seconds and use tails to give the flash powder effect since you have better control over particle size. It makes sense since the energy that’s dispersed with salutes is high but the flash powder doesn’t burn for long.
