THE 2025 ITALIAN FWSIM CHAMPIONSHIP IS HERE!
The championship will follow the following schedule:
-August 1st application closing
-August 15th shows publication
-August 17th awarding
The date of August 15 was chosen because it is the day on which almost every city in Italy organizes a fireworks show.
The show format will be the following:
-the show will be a traditional show, no music allowed
-the duration has to be between 10 and 12 minutes long
-the location will be a real location (the port of Trani, were in the past an important pyrotechnics championship used to take place)
-the position setup will be standard for everyone
-the camera settings are free, you can use a standing camera or a moving one as well
-you have to publish the video on YouTube
and set a premiere at 9 pm (UTC+1) on August 15th.
You will be evaluated on the following categories:
-realism (max 25 PTs.)
-shells quality (max 25 PTs.)
-creativity (max 25 PTs.)
-singleshot sequences ( max 10 PTs.)
-colors choice and combination (max 10 PTs.)
-camera editing (max 5 PTs.)
By following the rules you can create the show you want, but since it is the Italian championship you are invited to create a show that follows the Italian tradition in the field of pyrotechnics. You are also invited to recreate and use effects from the Italian tradition (for example bombe da tiro)
For this reason:
-the show that follows the most the traditional Italian show style will have a 10 PTs. bonus
-every bomba da tiro reproduction (or every real effect reproduction in general) you will get 1 PT. for a maximum of 10 PTs.
